Senior User Interface Designer

DESCRIPTION  

As a Senior UI designer you are responsible for creating user centric-products combined with delivering the best user interface experience for our end-users. The agile team you will be working with consists of developers, testers, UI designers and marketeers.

Together with the product manager and fellow UI designer, you will create the best user-experience journey for our end-user. You are end-to-end responsible for your designs: from translating high level requirements into interactive designs, to making sure that the developers implement your design exactly like you had envisioned. Next to that, you’ll continuously provide feedback from your practical and theoretical background on how to improve the designs.

Based in the Netherlands, with offices around the globe, the company designs custom shop floor solutions that leverage and complement capabilities of the Now platform to digitize and improve ways of work in factories across a variety of industries, like pharma, food and beverage and automotive.

The company is home to over 30 developers who have unprecedented experience using the Now platform and several manufacturing experts. Together, they design manufacturing solutions that deliver both quick wins and long-term value for customers.

Qualifications: 

• Minimal of 4 years’ experience of creating both mobile and desktop UI designs in a business environment
• Experience with full design flow: from initial concept, to implementation and improving based on user feedback
• Created, maintained and improved design libraries and design systems
• Direct experience working alongside developers
• Concept thinker with a keen visual awareness and willingness to learn
• Experience in using tools such as Figma, Sketch and Invision.
• Creative problem-solving skills
• Experience working in an agile/scrum environment
• Understands the impact their designs have on development time, can make logical design choices based on proven UI frameworks.
