Technical Equipment Supervisor

Our client is looking for Technical Equipment Supervisor (TES), is the main responsible person for the technical state of the Cable Burial Tool (CBT), whether on the vessel during operations or on shore during maintenance and modifications. The TES is also the main responsible person on the vessel to execute burial in accordance with the agreed burial methodology and has a key role in the optimization of the burial process, improvement program for the trencher and the training of the operational crew.

Responsibilities:

· Liaise with OIM, Field engineer(s), shift supervisors, operators, survey, chief engineer, trenching rock & landfall engineering department and trenching experts in relation the CBT and associated procedures for that, or any other project specific burial equipment to fulfil the scope of work;

· Understand the project scope of work for the cable burial and review all project specific cable burial documentation;

· Responsible for all aspects of the cable burial operations;

· Supervise and assist with mobilization and demobilizations of project specific equipment as required;

· Gives highest priority to safety on board and propagate the safety awareness of al persons on board;

· Plan and perform risk assessments for all safety critical activities;

· Primary point of contact for the trencher crew;

· Continuously monitor and assess the performance of personnel and equipment;

· Stipulate a cooperative and healthy working atmosphere on board;

· Reporting to the offshore installation manager and chief engineer.

Profile:

· You are looking for a long-term staff job position;

· At least 5 years of relevant working experience;

· Background in hydraulics, mechanical engineering or in electrical engineering and/or electronics;

· You have an eye for detail and order and enjoy being part of a larger team;
