What will you do?
With manufacturing being selected as an important vertical by ServiceNow and a Digital Shopfloor Platform product to conquer the market, we are looking to expand our digital manufacturing team with a Manufacturing Consultant – Supply Chain! You will be part of a team that is fully focused on the innovative solution (built on ServiceNow) to enable operators to digitally manage tasks, and deviations and have direct access to information on the shop floor to do their work better and faster, significantly improving operations performance. You will be based in our office in Utrecht, the Netherlands or at the customer premises. Travel abroad is likely.
As Manufacturing Consultant – Supply Chain you get to work on implementations and use your capabilities and skills to leverage everything the company has to offer; including various solutions to improve work processes instead of adjusting a system. You advice customers on processes and solutions, mostly workshop driven. Additionally, you get to contribute and deliver services related to the Digital Shopfloor Platform. Therefore, it is very important that you are both IT and Business oriented to connect both worlds.
To be at your best, we will provide you continuous training and coaching to ensure you have the adequate skills in Platform-as-a-Service. The experience of our colleagues and partners are also of great help to increase your knowledge. In addition, you get the ability to internally contribute to the success of the company.
Depending on the type of project, your main tasks/responsibilities are:
- Understanding customer’s manufacturing operations processes, capturing needs, translating these into functional requirements and user stories to be implemented in the solution (implemented by your team or Technical Consultants).
- Identify, discuss gaps between and the customer’s business processes and actively come up with solutions.
- Actively contribute to the development of Digital Manufacturing Value Proposition and Consulting Service Development, tailoring this to client requirements based on in-depth research of specific business conditions and drivers.
- Support development of marketing and expert materials like white-papers, news-items, knowledge articles as well as supporting sales processes by writing offers and building processes.
- Plan, schedule and prepare workshops, meetings and updates. Clearly document outcomes of meetings and manage follow-ups.
- Communicate with clients on a day-to-day basis in a professional manner, building strong relationships.
- You monitor the progress and report on milestones and budget to the customer and/or the manager at the company pro-actively.
Qualifications:
- Master is preferred in: Supply Chain Management, Industrial Engineering, Operations Management or alike.
- Fluent in English; fluency in Dutch is a big plus.
- Minimum of 3 years of working experience in a (niche) consultancy organization in a Manufacturing or Supply Chain Management practice. Focused on digital transformation. Or you’ve working in a Manufacturing organization.
- Demonstrable Supply Chain consulting and implementation experience.
- Relevant experience with Manufacturing IT systems such as (MES, PLM, PM, LIMS, SCADA) is a big plus.
- Experience with OT environments and Cloud technologies is a pre.
- Demonstrated knowledge of and experience with manufacturing excellence systems like, 5S, Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma and TPM.
- Consulting skills (facilitate workshops, giving presentations, developing value proposition material, build project deliverables and documentation).
- Experience with IT Solutions-platforms. ServiceNow or comparable platforms is a plus.
- Eagerness to learn new digital tools and technologies related to manufacturing.
- As Trusted Advisor you create and maintain effective customer relationships to ensure customer satisfaction.
- Actively contribute to the company’s solution portfolio, by providing knowledge to methodologies based on experience gained from customer projects.
Qualifications:
- A bachelor or master’s degree in computer science or Information Technology.
- 1-3 years of experience with ServiceNow is a must.
- A strong affinity with manufacturing is a must.
- 1-3 years of working experience with JavaScript is a must; experience with Python, Shell and PERL is a plus.
- 1-3 years of experience with configuration, development, and implementation of a Platform-as-a-Service (PaaS) technology.
- Experience with client & server scripting.
- Web service expertise (REST, SOAP) as well as XML and JSON knowledge.
- Fluency in the English. Dutch language is a plus.
- Good communication skills and result-oriented.
