As an actuary within the Pensions team, you will be responsible for ongoing and thematic supervision of the pension sector. You will focus on identifying and analyzing major risks for market participants and consumers, and will participate in multidisciplinary research projects in areas such as transition communication, risk preference studies, choice guidance, and engagement letter confirmation. The focus will be on the new pension system and the transition the sector is undergoing. You will analyze complex issues, share valuable insights, and contribute to improving transparency and effectiveness in the pension sector. You will collaborate with colleagues from various disciplines, including actuarial experts, legal experts, and business administrators, to guide the transition in the pension sector and mitigate risks.
Some of your duties include:
- Continuously monitoring risks in the pension sector
- Analyzing the impact of legislation, consumer signals, and market trends
- Calculating pension schemes, scenario amounts, and identifying undesirable (financial) effects
- Translating data insights into concrete findings and sharing these with colleagues and market parties
- Monitor identified risks and influence market parties
You'll work within the Pensions team
You will work within the Pensions team, a multidisciplinary team of 28 colleagues, including actuaries, lawyers, and business experts. The team focuses on the supervision of pension funds, (pension) insurers, and premium pension institutions. The work is a dynamic mix of ongoing supervision and research projects, depending on team needs.
This is what we ask:
⭐ Completed academic education in an actuarially relevant field
⭐ At least 3 years of relevant work experience
⭐ Able to understand developments in the pension sector and translate them into risks for supervision
⭐ Strong analytical and conceptual thinking skills
⭐ Experience with data analysis and making calculations of pension schemes
⭐ Initiative and a positively critical attitude
⭐ Affinity with the pension sector and legislation, and regulations
⭐ Excellent command of the Dutch language, both spoken and written
What we offer:
📄 You start with a one-year contract with the prospect of permanent employment
💰 A gross annual salary between €65,000 and €100,000 (36 hours, incl. 13th month and holiday allowance), depending on knowledge and experience
