What will you do?
You will become the Capability Lead of a newly created Capability: Operational Technology. The capability will be part of the Data Management Strategic Capability and will be working closely together with the Manufacturing Vertical. You will be delivering projects to some of our client's largest customers that operate in the Manufacturing Industry.
As a Capability Lead, you are responsible for building and growing the internal capability of our client. It is the responsibility of a capability to ensure that they bring relevant offerings to the market. To do so you should be aware of market developments and must be able to investigate and develop potential new offerings. You are involved in pre-sales activities to successfully sell their offerings. When delivering projects to customers, you act as a Subject Matter Expert and should ensure the projects are delivered with the right quality, improving the customer experience. When delivering projects you should ensure the right delivery materials are available and that the colleagues are able to deliver the work in a consistent manner.
As Capability Lead you also have a responsibility to grow the team and make sure our client hires the right talent. Hiring this talent could happen both within the internal organization by finding champions that could later be added to the Capability as Specialist. Our client should also be looking for talent in the market, as demand grows for their offerings.
Lastly, the capability lead is responsible for playing an important role around Though Leadership. Our client should develop best practices and bring these to the market. Creating blogs, writing blogs and hosting webinars is an important aspect of your role as capability lead.
Within the current market, there is a big need to gain insight into and secure the operational technology that resides within the factories of our client's customers. Before gathering the data, governance, processes, and ownership should be arranged. When this is in place our client helps their customers in gaining these insights by using the ServiceNow Platform (Operational Technology Solution). When the data is in place, they can leverage this data to help their customers deliver better, cheaper, faster, or safer services.
Scope of work:
- You will be leading a capability, which means you have a responsibility for Team Development, Delivery, Sales, Marketing, and Innovation.
- Be responsible for making sure our client has the right skilled people in the team who are enabled to deliver high-quality projects to their customers.
- You will be guiding delivery colleagues as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) within projects by providing your expertise.
- You will provide the necessary assets to support our client's delivery team (ex. user documentation, training materials, process decks, etc.).
- You will be responsible for validating the customer’s needs and deliverables ensuring the necessary quality standards are met.
- You will resolve issues relevant to project deliverables (s) and tackle escalations within the area of expertise when necessary.
- You will keep always an eye as an SME on the testing, development, and implementation of the functional / technical solution so that the right quality is met and ensure that the implemented solution meets our client's best practices.
- You will be following the market trends in the OT area so that you and our client are always one step ahead when it comes to developments in the market.
- You will be advising and supporting our client's sales colleagues with pre-sales and RFP’s.
- You will be tailoring the ServiceNow value proposition to prospects based on in-depth research of specific business conditions and drivers.
- You will be driving innovation by generating new business opportunities; by creating outstanding offerings.
We ask:
- A proactive, curious, problem-solving mindset.
- A minimum of 5 years experience in IT/OT.
- Experience in leading or managing a practice or capability, preferably in the OT area.
- Experience with large ERP systems, such as SAP or Microsoft Defender for OT
- Experience with ServiceNow and or/willingness to learn about ServiceNow is a big plus.
- A good understanding of how IT and OT works in organizations and how to build workflows, data modeling, and data governance around it.
- A good conceptual understanding of the decomposition of IT landscapes is a plus.
- Fluent in English and Dutch or German
- You have a prescriptive and persuasive personality.
